Premium furniture brand JAVORINA celebrates a significant milestone on the occasion of its recent 75th birthday. This celebratory event comes with a new product in the form of the SOFT bed, which has just won the prestigious "German Design Award 2024" for its innovative construction and subtle, sophisticated design. The award will be received by the brand's chief designer Leo Čellár on 26 January 2024.
"This is an award for the lifetime work of Leo Čellár, who has brought Javorina to the top in terms of design and quality over the last 25 years. But this award belongs to all the 'Javorina people', whom I thank for their great work. The German Design Award heralds our plans for expansion abroad and the rebirth of Javorina as a European brand," adds Petr Rokůsek - the new owner and visionary who joined the company last June.
The SOFT bed represents the latest successful product of Javorina, characterized by the combination of an upholstered headboard with an oak frame. Leo Čellár, the man behind its design, explains, "The soft lines of the headboard evoke a feeling of privacy and softness. This combination with a solid wooden frame and integrated oak slats is exceptional on the market and offers not only comfort, but also an unusual aesthetic impression."
One of the significant features of the SOFT bed is the integrated oak grid, which suits the trend for higher and heavier mattresses. This solution allows for easier handling of the mattress and facilitates changing the sheets, while contributing to overall sleeping comfort. The elegantly shaped legs of the bed, made of solid oak wood, give the bed an organic and delicate look. Their nature-inspired morphology blends with the bed frame, guaranteeing utility that lasts for generations.
The SOFT bed is available in three shades of oak wood (natur, white, coffee) and with three types of textile upholstery with a protective film for high durability. Thanks to the wide range of upholstery colours, each SOFT bed has the possibility to get a unique look according to the customer's preference.
Thanks to its uncompromising approach to quality and aesthetics, the German Design Award consolidates the Javorina brand's position among the leading manufacturers of designer solid furniture in the Central European region. Moreover, this is the third international award for Javorina products. In 2022, the VRTIŠKA & ŽÁK studio won the Grand Prix for the LOPA chair in the BIG SEE AWARD, and in 2021 Dušan Kočlík won the Winner's Award in the same competition for the BUDDY Pet House.
