FAQ

  • How to care for furniture with an oiled finish?
More details on how to care for your Javorina furniture can be found on the following page.
  • How is it with delivery and shipping?

You can find Javorina furniture in the network of stores and partners listed on our website. Each authorized dealer has the goods available at the same retail price at their sales point. For orders over 1.000 EUR, transport, delivery up to the 2nd floor, and possible assembly are free of charge.

Individual requirements and high standards of delivery and home assembly are a matter of individual consultation and offer. More information about these services can be found on this page or contact our dealers.

  • Where can I find 3D models?
3D models are available after logging in for architects and interior designers within our Javorina PRO platform. You will always find the models with the respective product.
  • Is custom manufacturing possible?

For larger orders and complex interior solutions, it is possible to manufacture custom products at the customer's request.

Please consult our expert representatives for an individual approach and our solution possibilities.

We usually prefer established standard goods and the Javorina range. The application of custom Javorina design to the created interior is subject to feasibility assessment. The diverse focus of Javorina has provided us with many opportunities to supply complete interior equipment for both residential buildings and commercial spaces in recent years.

  • How is the product assembly carried out?

Products such as chests of drawers, chairs, and TV cabinets are delivered assembled. Beds, tables, and coffee tables are delivered unassembled. However, their assembly is very simple - usually only four screws are needed (see installation). The products are packed in five-layer paper carton with special corner protection.

We are happy to arrange assembly and installation for you with our own professional team, who will take care of delivery, carrying, assembly, and of course cleaning up all the packaging and so on.

Details can be found on the Transport, delivery and installation page

    .
  • How long does delivery take?

The standard delivery time is 4 to 6 weeks from the confirmation of the deposit receipt. For selected products that are in stock, a shorter delivery time may apply.

The standard delivery time does not apply to orders including atypical products.

The manufacturer, Javorina vd, reserves the right to change the delivery time (in response to changing factors entering the production process, subcontracting, and logistical solutions).

  • How is it with upholstery?

All our upholstery is highly durable and suitable for long-term use. The textiles also have a water-repellent surface treatment. Their cleaning is simple and is done like cleaning any classic textile in the household using lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent.

In case of your wish, there is the possibility of applying your own upholstery for an extra charge.

  • Is it possible to buy only samples?
Yes, you can order all variants of our surface finishes and upholstery .here
  • Can I renovate the furniture?
Our furniture is characterized by its long lifespan. If there is significant damage, whether due to long-term stress or an accident, do not hesitate to contact us - we will be happy to discuss the conditions of renovation directly in our production.
  • What colour options do you offer?

Our furniture is made in color shades, which we define as follows:

    • Natural finish - oil extracted from flax seed with wax content.
    • Light shade - oil extracted from flax seed containing wax with white (W - white) pigment.
    • Dark shade - oil extracted from flax seed containing wax with dark gray (T - dark gray), chocolate (J - JAB), brown (B-brown) and coffee (C - coffee) pigment.

The basic shades of oil surface treatment are Natur, White and Coffee. For an extra charge, there are shades T-dark gray, B-brown and J-chocolate.

Not all color shades are offered standard online, if you are interested in any of these options, do not hesitate to contact us or send a non-binding inquiry.

    WARNING

Over time, oak acquires a deeper shade due to UV radiation and oxidation, under which the color of oak wood becomes more saturated. Regular treatment of the surface parts of the furniture will restore their resistance and at the same time revive the structure of the furniture and its beautiful color.

  • What properties does solid wood have?

Massive oak wood is considered structured and in its natural state, it shows quite large differences in color and structure. Wood from different places of extraction has different colors, but differences in color and structure of the same trunk (e.g. middle-edge part, radially tangential cut through the trunk...) are also natural. Color differences can be further emphasized in the drying process and especially in the final surface treatment.

Our furniture is made of solid oak wood, with the exception of the backs of cabinets, drawer bottoms and the bottom shelf on the drawer bedside table NS35, which are made of oak veneered MDF. (Veneer is used in these places for structural reasons). The center of the double bed is made of oak wood.

  • What does oil-treated surface finish mean?

The furniture is treated twice with oil during production; however, minor deviations in surface quality (slight roughness of the surface due to the alignment of wood fibers) may occur due to the different natural structure of the wood, or possibly changes in humidity after shipping and unpacking. These changes can usually be easily removed by the procedure described in the maintenance text (see FAQ / Care for furniture with an oiled surface finish).

Oil treatment highlights the structure and color differences in solid oak wood, significantly distinguishing the furniture from the veneer type, which is usually much more homogeneous in color and structure. During production, the color and structure of individual components are selected before they are joined to achieve a natural result. We do not strive for dull uniformity. Furniture treated with oil is much more susceptible to so-called patina, where the effect of light and air oxidation changes the color to a honey shade and individual color differences disappear over time.

  • What are the quality parameters of the product?
    External visible surfaces
    • The selection of semi-finished products focuses on achieving a harmonious whole with a uniform color and structural/balanced distribution of allowed defects (also applies to rustic quality), where the most beautiful should be the front and top surfaces (cabinet doors, table tops, dresser tops...), followed by the side surfaces.
    • The surface is made of material with the same or similar pattern / structure and color (tangential pattern with other tangential patterns, tangential pattern with semi-radial patterns and radial patterns with other radial and semi-radial patterns).
    • The less desirable side of the semi-finished product is oriented towards the less visible side of the board / connecting part and after gluing, the desirable side of the boards is oriented upwards.
    • Cracked or visible knots and other acceptable defects of a natural character, i.e. cracks in the surface, possible defects during processing, are repaired with dark putty and treated with putty in the color of the wood (darker in cross-section, lighter on longitudinal surfaces). The putty in these places must not be pressed in.
    • Knots and permissible defects must not be located on the visible edge. Cut knots are, with the exception of (R and R/C) rustic quality, unacceptable.
    • In undefined cases, we proceed in such a way as to achieve the best possible aesthetic result, and we try to look at the product through the eyes of the customer.

Bottom / inner / invisible areas
    • Inner / bottom visible surfaces (top sides of inner shelves, inner sides of side surfaces, bottom surfaces of tables and tables, ...) - ) must be processed flawlessly (careful filling with putty and sanding), always observing how the side looks.
    • Invisible bottom surfaces (bottom sides of parts, shelves, ...) - defects need to be trimmed and sanded.
