75 years of manufacturing experience

Our roots date back to 1947, when an art and industrial production cooperative was founded in eastern Slovakia, named after a small village in the Tatra foothills. From the very beginning, Javorina focused on the tradition of processing solid wood from local forests, which it subsequently developed over the decades in the serial production of joinery products and interior furnishings.

Today, we are an established brand of European proportions based on original design, our own technological know-how and a philosophy of sustainability. As a manufacturer of modern furniture made of solid oak and walnut wood, we still maintain our reputation and quality, which is confirmed by numerous awards on the domestic and international scene.

We breathe new life into wood in dialogue with nature

Trees sometimes grow for more than a hundred years before they reach our hands. That is why our mission is to create the conditions for the material to have the same quality and longevity in its new home. We continue the thinking of generations before us with a sustainable vision of furniture made with a legacy of lasting value. The purpose of our creation is to give the best possible value to each tree. Our material cycle is nearly closed and produces minimal waste.

We strive to ensure that the wood retains its original qualities and the uniqueness of each piece as it was created by nature shines through. We purchase material from certified sawmills and managed forests whose regeneration exceeds harvesting. To contribute to this renewability, we have created the GPS Forest project, where for each of our new customers we plant a young oak tree in a newly established stand in eastern Slovakia.
